2PM-3PM EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME
Belgian knitter, Wim Vandereyken, also known as Mr. Knitbear, is here to break down the knitty gritty details of the boomerang method, a German short row technique for knitting sock heels. Participants will only need to knit a few rows in the round in preparation for the workshop and knitting their test-heel--no cuffs required! Join us and take your sock knitting journey to the next level!
Homework from Wim: Any 2,5mm needles for knitting in the round will do. I’d advise that you use sock yarn and cast on 48 stitches. (That’s the amount I’ll be using in the demo.)
I will have a cuff and leg of a sock ready to knit a boomerang heel on. But 5 rows of stockinette stitch or a cuff stitch of choice will do perfectly.
