Speaker Bio
I’m Liz from Arrow Acres Alpaca Farm in Wall, NJ!
I learned to crochet in high school over 20 years ago, and have been interested in fiber arts ever since.
I attended Arcadia University for two years where I learned how to wet felt and learned about the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival! This really propelled my love of fiber arts. From there, I transferred to Montclair State University where i graduated with a BFA in jewelry making. I was able to take Fiber Arts specific classes at MSU and learned even more about spinning, weaving, and yarn. In 2010 we returned to MDSW and my mom saw some alpacas and fell in love.
My parents agreed that alpacas would make an excellent addition to our farm, so they set out to find their starter herd.
We now have an average of 40 to 50 alpacas at any time on the farm, and can’t imagine it any different!
I am a full time farmer and fiber artist, selling handmade items at our farm store and teaching classes.
