Slip stitch knitting is one of the easiest ways to introduce color and texture into fabric. Although it requires just one color per row, you'll be amazed at the results!

Homework - 3 pieces as follows:

#1: With smooth, light-colored worsted weight yarn and size US 7 or 8 knitting needles, cast on 18 stitches. Begin K2P2 Rib, and work even for 1". Slip stitches onto a holder with the yarn attached.

#2: With smooth, solid, bright-colored worsted weight yarn and size US 7 or 8 knitting needles, cast on 20 stitches. Begin K2P2 Rib, and work even for 1". Slip stitches onto a holder with the yarn attached.

#3: With smooth, light-colored worsted weight yarn and size US 7 or 8 knitting needles, cast on 18 stitches. Begin K2P2 Rib, and work even for 1". Slip stitches onto a holder with the yarn attached.

Class Supplies: Class handout printed and ready to go; three homework pieces with the yarn still attached; size US 7 or 8 knitting needles; additional smooth worsted weight yarn in at least 3 strongly contrasting colors; sticky notes.
