Learn how to knit intarsia in the round and make a seamless, stripes and hearts pattern drawstring bag that you can fill with gorgeous goodies to gift for Galenstine or to keep for yourself. Plus, learn tips for keeping your yarns organised, maintaining your tension, calculating yarn needs and more.

Class Supplies:

• Fingering/Light DK weight yarn in a main color (MC) plus at up to 4 contrasting colours (CC) as follows: Main color: 20g; Contrast Colors: 10-20g total in up to 4 colors
• Gauge-size needle(s) of your preferred type for working small circumferences (40cm (16”) circular for magic loop recommended)
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Ruler

Homework

Using gauge-size needle and your preferred cast-on method, cast on 58 stitches with Main Colour (MC). Place a marker to mark the beginning of round. Be careful not to twist the yarn, join to work in the round. Knit 4 rounds in MC then stripe next 16 rounds as follows:
Round 5: Knit using first contrast colour (CC1)
Round 6: Purl using CC1
Rounds 7-9: Knit using MC
Round 10: Knit using second contrast colour (CC2)
Round 11: Purl using CC2
Rounds 12-14: Knit using MC
Round 15: Knit using third contrast colour (CC3)
Round 16: Purl using CC3
Rounds 17-20: Knit using MC
