During this presentation we will look at the most common and some exotic fibers found in yarn, ranging from what can be purchased at a big box store to artisanal small batch production. We will discuss natural plant based fibers, hair and other protein fibers, and manufactured fibers, some of their properties, and how they end up as yarn. This will be a high level overview which will leave attendees ready to explore more on their own.
