Claire Dingwell, researcher for the Center for Sustainable Polymers at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, will show the process of creating nylon and how the chemicals used react to create yarn! In this demo you’ll see the difference between natural and synthetic fibers, the history of synthetic fibers, and how synthetic fibers are made.
