Hazel Tindall, yes she is that fast, was born and raised in Shetland. She learned to knit from the women around her who knit professionally to provide income for their household. As a result, she learned to knit quickly and precisely and eventually became the world’s fastest knitter. Hazel will share the history of production knitting in Shetland with us, with a special focus on her mother’s experiences and her own.
